On the 30th of December I uploaded a video of a 2.0 menu modified to be closer to 1.0. But that blows! So, after months of pain, crashes, 0 FPS, and help from plenty of friends, I managed to get Wii Menu 1.0 with working channels. Don't ask me for help on how to do it yourself step by step, as I'm still trying to understand it.
Yes, you can do 1.0J too.
Yes, I know 2.0 was out by the time Europe got the Wii, but they shipped with 1.0 so it's real.
Yes, the date is wrong, it changes to somewhere around 2030-ish everytime I reset, for some weird reason.
No, the recent Wii leak did not help this in any way.
Yes, you can use a real Wii Remote on Dolphin.
Yes, I know the audio is delayed. It was fine on the original recording but Premiere said "eh, let's fuck it up, why not? :P".
Overall, this is pretty cool, as well as an important part of video game preservation! Und das Wii-Menü 1.0 auf Deutsch ist kein Traum ^^

The comeback of Wii no Ma, localised as Wii Room, has been worked on by the WiiLink24 throughout the last months, and a lot of progress has been made!
This is a public beta that has just released to the public, and anybody can play, if youre interested. In this video, I show the original Japanese version, but an unfinished English translation is also available. Recorded on a physical, Japanese Wii, but it works on any Wii.
