One of the most common houseplant questions I get is why does a Monstera need a moss pole? If you want your plant to grow larger and have more fenestrations your plant will need something to climb. Fortunately moss poles are not the be all end all to your indoor vining plant needs. As long as your plant has something to climb, like a wooden plank, a bamboo pole, or some kind of stake this will do the trick.
