Nasty horizontal lines and banding in your flash pictures and video can really ruin your day. Once they are in your picture, you can't get rid of them. So what causes them and how do you stop them from happening? Well, it often has to do with your shutter and flash sync- especially HSS high speed sync and how it matches between camera and flash strobe. The most important setting for this is e-front curtain shutter, or EFCS and to turn it off.
