When you’re at EVO you better show no mercy to anyone, not even a kid!
EVO 2015, 801 Strider, one of the top Abel players in the world, was set to play a pools match against a player named Skullzer.
Up against a literal child, Strider was the clear favorite, but that didn’t mean he was going to go easy on him. Ruthlessly following the Abel flowchart, Mike Ross and Gootecks could only watch in horror as 801 Strider earned a quick 2-0, which included 3 perfect rounds.
To add insult to injury, he leaned into the boos from the crowd and popped off as well.
But that’s not the end of the story. A year later, the two met once again at EVO 2016 to face off in a grudge match. While 801 Strider ended up winning 2-0 once again, it was much closer this time, and although the two have yet to face off again, we’re sure that Skullzer is out there training, waiting for the perfect moment to get his revenge.
