It’s a reflective essay about why the Fujifilm X100VI keeps me shooting, and how small, intentional refinements can remove friction and bring you closer to the craft.
Lately, I’ve been thinking less about output and more about what makes me want to pick up a camera in the first place. Not productivity for its own sake, but quiet refinement, small changes that make the act of photographing feel more immediate and more human.
The X100VI has always done that for me. Not because it’s perfect on paper, but because of how it gets out of the way. Tactile controls. Restraint. A low barrier between seeing something and capturing it.
