The new thing now in software development is Vibe Coding. Yes that's a real term and it means having AI do the programming for you. While this might get some young people excited about how easy it is to write software with AI, this has some implications. Data shows that entry level programming jobs for general programming are down 20-25%. This means many Computer Science graduates thought they would be entering a high income career. Instead they end up jobless.
The answer is that we need to stop teaching pure coding. Let's talk about what this means.
