Two ascorbic acid serums can have fairly similar ingredient lists, but that doesn't mean they'll behave the same way in their packaging.
In this video, we compare two vitamin C serums and look at what happened after accelerated stability testing. When sorbic acid degrades, it can release CO₂, which may lead to unusual pump behavior like sputtering and leaking.
This isn't to say that all plastic pumps are bad for vitamin C. In this particular case, though, the packaging didn't seem to hold up well.
And if your vitamin C serum starts doing something dramatic with its packaging, it may be time to throw it out.

🌟Overall, Id rate this an 7/10. This UV fluid feels like a textbook sunscreen fluid. It absorbs quickly and leaves a silicone, powdery finish with some residue. It held up well throughout the day and wouldnt have any issues reapplying. However, probably by the third reapplication, this felt like it wanted to pill. Just something to keep in mind if youre relying on this sunscreen for a whole day of sun protection. If Victoria had to choose between the two Naturium sunscreens, she would pick the Dew Glow Screen.
