American comics had great stories... but UK comics came with something extra!
In this video, I'm taking a look at some of the coolest FREE gifts that came with UK comic books during the 1970s, 80s and 90s.
From Spider-Man Comics Weekly #1 and Captain Britain #1 to Star Wars Weekly, The Exploits of Spider-Man, Batman Monthly and Transformers, many UK comics included masks, trading cards, badges, posters, stickers and even jigsaw puzzles to encourage kids to buy them.
Some of these free gifts are now rarer than the comics themselves, making complete copies highly sought after by collectors.
