Why Turn-Based Combat Is Not "Outdated". By that logic, Chess needs to turn into a game where you throw the pieces at each other and you have to dodge them in real time. Clair Obscur Expedition 33 revived the Turn-Based Combat debate, particularly around Final Fantasy. We discuss this during my first playthrough, reaction & voice acting of Metaphor ReFantazio, the modern Turn-Based JRPG by ATLUS, the same company who made Persona 5. Starring Will, Strohl, Gallica, Louis, Grius, Hulkenberg and more. My main character is an Elda, plunged into the United Kingdom of Euchronia. Other races include Clemar, Roussainte, Ishkia, Nidia, Rhoag, Paripus and Eugief. Also Humans, who are all hideous monsters for some reason. This is my first video game by this company ever, so wish me luck as I come to grips with its gameplay, mechanics, and Calendar System. Enjoy my anime weeb adventure
