Experience the "Old Colorado" you thought was gone. Join us for a breathtaking golden hour drive along Trough Road, a hidden gem winding through the heart of the Rocky Mountains. This unpaved road in Colorado's Rocky Mountains is part of the Colorado River Headwaters Scenic Byway. This 24-mile dirt road starts near State Bridge and winds its way to Kremmling, climbing through hairpin turns and offering glimpses of the Colorado River below. Captured at golden hour just before sunset, the drive glows with warm light on aspens, pines, and the rugged landscape. Blazed over a century ago as an extension of historic trails, this route feels like a step back in time.
