Singer Peter Hollens has advice for new musicians.

Signing a record deal with a major label as a musician should be the best feeling in the world. But for a capella singer Peter Hollens, it was a much more conflicting experience. As a father to be at the time, the money that comes along with a signed contract seemed too good to pass up. But looking back on that moment, Peter regrets having ever signed it in the first place.

Peter Hollens has since thrived as an independent musician who calls his own shots and sings his own songs. This is his advice to fellow musicians on maintaining their creative freedom.
