Street Fighter has been part of my life since the arcade era — and in this video I take a deep dive into why the Alpha series remains one of my favorite eras in fighting game history. From Street Fighter Alpha, Alpha 2, Zero 2 Alpha / Alpha 2 Gold, and even Street Fighter: The Movie Arcade Game, this is a celebration of classic Capcom fighters, arcade culture, and one of my favorite modern ways to experience them: the Polycade Sente.
Featuring gameplay, collectible showcases, digital marquees, online play support, controller swaps including Vewlix and Hit Box setups, and discussion about low input lag, preservation, and arcade authenticity.
With the nearing release of Street Fighter's upcoming film, and the new ICONIC Arcade Street Fighter II Alpha 2 XT Cabinet, I thought this would be an interesting topic!
*DISCLAIMER: I currently work for Polycade; however, this video is not sponsored, endorsed, promoted, or directed by the company. This project was created independently for fun as a longtime Street Fighter fan, and all opinions expressed are entirely my own*
