Everyone Thinks the Rams Will Win the Super Bowl… They WON’T
Aaron Donald is BACK with the Los Angeles Rams — and suddenly everyone is ready to crown the Rams as 2026 Super Bowl champions. But are we getting a little carried away?
In this video, I explain why I believe the Rams WON’T win Super Bowl LXI, even after adding Aaron Donald back to a defense already featuring Myles Garrett.
There’s no denying how talented this roster is, but there are legitimate concerns that are being overlooked. Matthew Stafford is coming off an incredible season at 38 years old, the offense is extremely reliant on Puka Nacua, the wide receiver depth behind Puka and Davante Adams is questionable, the offensive line has depth concerns, and we still have to see whether Sean McVay’s heavy TE packages can continue having the same success now that defenses have an offseason to adjust.
And then there’s Aaron Donald himself. He’s one of the greatest defensive players of all time — but he’s also 35 years old and returning after two full seasons away from the NFL. Assuming we're immediately getting prime Aaron Donald again might be getting ahead of ourselves.
Add in enormous Super Bowl expectations, a difficult NFC West, and a BRUTAL 2026 Rams schedule that begins with the 49ers in Australia before games against the Giants, Broncos, Eagles and Bills, and I think there are more reasons for concern than people realize.
The Rams might be one of the best teams in the NFL.
That doesn’t mean they’re winning the Super Bowl.
