One of my favourite techno producers is called Randomer, and he posted a clip recently of him gently playing the riff of his techno track on an acoustic piano. It was clear to me what the chord progression was, and I figured, maybe that's interesting to teach other techno producers!
So this is about the value of ear training - why is it valuable to have ear training, even if you're a techno producer and your music is very percussion-forward?
