There’s a pattern emerging—and many neurodivergent women are starting to notice it.
In this video, I’m talking about the connection between autism (and neurodivergence more broadly) and chronic inflammatory or systemic conditions like POTS, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), endometriosis, adenomyosis, and more.
This isn’t about claiming a single cause or speaking for everyone. It’s about exploring overlap, patterns, and lived experience—because if you’ve ever felt like your body is constantly “too much” or “too sensitive,” you’re not alone.
We’ll walk through several conditions that frequently show up in autistic women, what they are, and why there may be shared underlying mechanisms like nervous system dysregulation, connective tissue differences, immune responses, and central sensitization.
I also share parts of my own experience navigating chronic pain and complex diagnoses—and how confusing, invalidating, and isolating that process can be.
If you’ve ever wondered why so many autistic women also deal with chronic illness… this is a conversation worth having.
Important note:
This video is not meant to define the autistic experience or provide medical advice. Every body is different. These terms and patterns are meant to be used with flexibility and curiosity—not rigid labels.
