WHY SHOULD I VOTE FOR THE EUROPEAN ELECTIONS? đ€
Our lobbying team went to the European Parliament to share the results of the public consultation Voice for the Ocean. đââïž
They asked Karmenu Vella, European Commissioner for Environment, Fisheries and Maritime Affairs (2014 - 2019) and Gesine Meissner, Member of the European Parliament, President of the Seas, Rivers, Islands and Coastal Areas Intergroup, to explain why it is so important for EU citizens to raise their voice and GO VOTE on May 23 -26th. đââïžđââïž
"Citizens are used to have their say at a local level which are all very important, but just imagine how important it is for citizens to make their voices heard at a hightest level. And global issues can only be tackled at the very hightest level." đŁ
Nearly 7000 of us gave our voices and now demand political action be taken at the highest European level to protect our oceans. The best way to make sure our concerns will be heard is to go and vote for the candidates that have integrated ocean protection into their polical agenda.đâ
âĄïž So in 2 weeks, give few minutes of your time for the ocean and GO VOTE! đ©đł
