Sometimes it's hard to say goodbye at family events in Hawaii. What starts out as a quick goodbye soon turns into a thirty minute conversation. You could call this the "Hawaiian Goodbye", whereby people end up talking story for a long time while trying to say goodbye. I wanted to share some observations about saying goodbye at parties in Hawaii, including three tips on how I think it's best to do it. This is something that I'm working on, so this advice applies to me as much as anyone.
