Portugal has been one of the hottest destinations for people dreaming about life abroad—but after nearly three years of actually living here, I have a few things to say. 👀
I’m going LIVE with Roshida Dowe of Exodus Summit for a candid conversation about who Portugal may be right for, who it may be completely wrong for, and the mistakes I see people making before they move.
I retired at 49, moved to Portugal in 2023, and have since traveled to nearly 30 countries while building Blaxit Global and a global community of Black women living, traveling and creating lives around the world.
This isn't a “Portugal is terrible” conversation—and it isn't a “Portugal is paradise” conversation either.
It's about what happens when you stop looking at a country as a destination and start asking a much more important question:
Can I actually build the life I want here?
We'll talk about the realities of moving to Portugal, how the country has changed, what I wish I had known before making the move, and why the right country for someone else may be completely wrong for you.
And yes… after three years, I have thoughts. 😂
If you're considering Portugal—or thinking about moving abroad in general—this is a conversation you want to hear BEFORE you buy that one-way ticket.
