In Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker, the once fallen Darth Sidious reveals that he has returned from the dead, having used the dark side of the force to transfer his spirit to the Sith home world of Exegol after Darth Vader threw him down the ventilation shaft of the Death Star. In this video, we cover why another return for the fallen Dark Lord of the Sith is far less likely after The Rise of Skywalker than it was following the events of Return of the Jedi.
