This is why I, as a doctor, choose to dress in the scrub colors of nurses, respiratory therapists, and physical/occupational therapists, instead of the color reserved for doctors.

I do not recommend my approach to choosing scrub color to everyone. First, for anyone who is part of their hospital's code or rapid response teams, having one's role immediately recognized by other team members is very helpful. Second, it's already frustrating enough for women and persons of color when they are automatically assumed to be nurses; in my opinion the benefits I mention in the video would not be worth making that problem even more prominent by deliberately dressing as a nurse.

Also consider the analogy to skin color and racism in healthcare, which in retrospect may have been too subtle in the video.
