Why not use 34 or 48 volts in your ham shack or TOC? There would only be 2 benefits.The first benefit is the cost of copper between your solar panels and your batteries.
The second benefit would be using 48V to an inverter outputting 120v or 220v AC.
If your entire station is dc for radio communications, There's no benefit to the higher voltage.
