Why do most refugees not return to their home countries, even after the conflict that drove them away ends? Throughout history there have been hundreds of millions, if not billions of international refugees driven from their homes by political strife or violent conflicts but often the majority of these refugees do not return to their home countries due to a variety of factors, as every situation is different. Sometimes these refugees will indeed gain the means and motivation to return to their home but this is only true in a minority of cases in the modern day and often times refugees are here to stay in whatever nation they find themselves settling in.
