Join Dr. David Kunashko for a discussion on the use of laser therapy (photobiomodulation) by massage therapists. Massage and other professional manual therapists have been integrating Laser Therapy into their practice for many reasons including accelerating tissue healing, decreasing pain, edema and inflammation and reducing strain on their own bodies.
Dr. Kunashko has taught at several massage colleges including Kikkawa and CDI Colleges, was a member of the CMTO Tri-partite Committee and was a co-founder of the SOMA Institute for Massage Therapy in Chicago. His experience practicing with and educating MTs and his 10+ year experience in Laser Therapy has given him unique insight into why this profession is rapidly incorporating this light based therapy.
