What if you’re reading the Bible the wrong way?
Do you ever finish reading Scripture and feel nothing? Like God didn’t meet you there?
Before you open your Bible, don’t forget to pray.
We can’t live the Christian life in our own strength, and we can’t read the Bible that way either. We need God’s help to understand, believe, and treasure what we read.
Start with a simple prayer: “God, help me lean on you and not my own understanding. Give me strength so that you get the glory.”
The Holy Spirit isn’t optional in Bible reading. He’s the one who opens our eyes to behold the glory of Christ.
