I have seen Finnish featured among the top 10 or even top 5 most difficult languages in the world so many times... But what is it that makes it such a hard language to learn? (except for native speakers of Estonian, obviously :D) Let's find out in this video!
You will also learn about what is actually not difficult at all in this beautiful but - let's face it - quite challenging language... I hope you enjoy!

WHAT IS EASY:
9:23 Consistent spelling system
9:50 Pronunciation and stress
10:28 No future tense
10:46 No gender, no articles
11:42 One single declension
12:11 .... the Finns! :)
*Note: These lists are by no means complete! I could have continued on and on rambling about multiple infinitives, multiple participles, dozens of word classes, bizarre verb conjugation patterns, etc. etc. etc... but I just wanted to point out which aspects are the most difficult ones for foreigners learning Finnish.

I dont consider myself fully fluent in Japanese because of my insufficient listening and comprehension skills, but at least I can say that I have almost no problem in everyday conversation. Please feel free to point out my mistakes so that I can stop making them! ;D

- A couple of things in these video are already old, in that the most recent Polyglot Gathering was in Bratislava at the beginning of June this year, I was there as well and it was a lot of fun! Also, in the meantime Ive been in Romania for the third time and I loved it once again, had many opportunities to practice the language and (hopefully) improved my conversational skills (still need to work A LOT on my vocabulary though).
