The recent and surprisingly abrupt cancellation of Wonder Man Season 2 has once again raised some serious questions about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And rather than looking at Wonder Man in isolation, I wanted to take a step back and look at the bigger pattern.

Over the past few years, Marvel has cancelled, delayed, reworked, or seemingly abandoned a number of highly anticipated projects.
