My sound patches: espenkraft.com • The MacBook Air M1 from 2020. Definitely the best bang for the buck if you're looking for a laptop to do something similar to what I show in this video.
Even with the new MacBook Neo I think this is much more computer for the money when you can get a used M1 for a couple of hundred bucks.
It will not be the cheapest laptop out there, but it will get the job done without complaints. More that I can say of all the other "new" PCs I've used over the last 7-8 years.
Even with its entry level specs, from when these M-series MacBooks were introduced, it does everything I want, with power to spare. None of the apps I use on it struggles. It never freezes, it never hangs nor does it make a sound.
I'm not sponsored by Apple, nor am I especially fond of them. I do however want the most bang for the buck out of my gear and nothing comes close imo.
So music making (DAW), video editing, photo editing, gaming, internet browing, Netflix, banking ,Pornhub or the Piratbay, the small, cheap and cheerful M1 from 2020 should do the job to your satisfaction.
