I don't really think of a security camera as a security device, but I do see their value for peace of mind and satisfying curiosity! With this wifi camera I can connect from anywhere via my smartphone and see what is happening in real time, set off an alarm, or talk/listen through the camera. I can't believe how far home camera technology has come.
