During classroom setup, we have to ask ourselves “What kind of learning environment will I provide for my students?” Some teachers choose to do table groups, desks, no desks or flexible seating....there are so many options! Flexible seating has become increasingly popular over the years for a variety of reasons: It promotes classroom community, physical health, it’s student centered and offers students a lot of choice. Those are all great reasons, but even with all those benefits, I do not feel like a flexible seating classroom is right for me. This video explains why.
