“There's so much going on here for marine science” Paul, BSc (Hons) Ocean Exploration and Surveying.

Plymouth’s full of marine experts, with one of the biggest marine science communities in Europe. You can even get hands-on experience with marine research organisations in the city – and if you want, take a placement year to boost your skills even more.

At Plymouth, studying Marine Sciences means more than just sitting in lectures.

You’ll head out on the University’s research boats, exploring Plymouth Sound – a protected area packed with sea life. You'll also spend time learning at the Marine Station, right on the waterfront.

If you're passionate about the ocean, this is where you’ll want to be.
