I've been excited about ACRally ever since it was announced at the Sim Racing Expo last fall, but I purposely almost never play it. I love the different cars and the detail of the road and the general feeling playing this game, but with such limited content in its beta, I don't want to become overly familiar with the stages. Rally loses something to me when you have fully memorized a stretch of road. Being familiar and remembering the tricky sections sure, that's just good prep, but with only about 100km total at this point, its quite easy to recognize exactly where you are. Rally then turns less into concentrating on your notes and more about hotlapping and running the 'perfect line'
But I have been dipping my toes in this past week and enjoying a few runs up the Monte, so join me in the wonderful A110 Alpine for a few stages to test how the dynamic weather can affect things!
