'A Man was going Down the Road' by Otar Chiladze, is not proving an enjoyable read for me. I picked it up because he is one of the most significant Georgian writers of the 20th century, but the plot meanders and I find he characters unrelatable. I am reading the translation by Donald Rayfield and maybe if I were reading in the original Georgian, the beautiful prose would win me over, even if the story doesn't. I have been reading this book since before the beginning of the month, a month in which I am yet to finish any book.
Should I DNF it?
