We read about compassion, chesed (mercy) and metta in the various spiritual traditions as something important to practice. However, in these wicked times of the Kali Yuga and the end of an Age, it often seems impractical to be compassionate. How can we leave ourselves so vulnerable in a world full of evil-hearted people waiting to take advantage?
In this video, I discuss the merits of practising compassion even in spite of (and perhaps even more so because of) the current moral state of humanity.
