The internet will forever cry that HAN SHOT FIRST in that famous cantina scene with Greedo from Star Wars: A New Hope. But while most people are strictly concerned with Han's character arc from scoundrel to hero, I wanted to look at George Lucas' edited re-release of that scene from a more scientific perspective. Would it even be possible for a second shooter in a duel to react faster than the initial shooter? If Greedo shot Han Solo first, could Han even have the time to shoot back?
