I share a personal story from my childhood — how I went from being isolated for being different to getting praised by teachers, and how that praise slowly rewired me to seek approval, suppress my true self, and fit into a mold that wasn’t mine.
But here's the truth: praise from authority can be a trap. It feels good at first, but it trains you to deny your uniqueness in exchange for validation. And over time, it can lead to burnout, fatigue, and a loss of identity.
