Dude Perfect is an American sports and comedy group headquartered in Frisco, Texas. The group consists of Tyler Toney, twins Cory and Coby Cotton, Garrett Hilbert, and Cody Jones, all of whom are former college roommates at Texas A&M University. Their YouTube channel has over 57 million subscribers and is the second most-subscribed sports channel as well as the twenty-first most-subscribed channel overall. Dude Perfect also has two other YouTube channels, Dude Perfect Plus and Dude Perfect Gaming. On July 16th, 2022, the group managed to upset some viewers by posting a Qatar 2022 World Cup video. Many supporters of the group felt that the YouTubers should have addressed the human rights controversy surrounding the country. Last year, The Guardian published a report estimating that more than 6,500 migrant workers have died since Qatar won the right to host the World Cup, with some of those deaths being directly attributed to the construction of the World Cup stadiums. In the Dude Perfect’s comment section, many viewers were quick to voice their thoughts on this situation.
