Navy is not a trend in Paris. It's closer to infrastructure. I saw it on day one, I was still seeing it on day eight, on women of every age, in every arrondissement, in every context. And the version I saw most was a double breasted blazer, worn as casually as a cardigan over absolutely everything.
The appeal is genuinely straightforward once you see it in person. Navy is polished without being harsh and the double breasted silhouette does an enormous amount of work. It's structured and considered enough that whatever's underneath it essentially doesn't matter!
