For large companies, “zero data retention” can still amount to little more than taking a provider at its word.
The concern becomes even more serious when proprietary source code is involved. Enterprises have to think about where that code goes, what generated outputs may have been derived from, and the potential indemnification risk that comes with using them.
Aaron says ClickHouse has those same concerns internally and rather than simply moving everything to an open model, the answer can be much more restrictive: limit the use cases.
