Want to SHRED alternate picked leads?! The key may very well lie in your downstrokes, and Uncle Ben Eller here is gonna show you why!!! If you've got a Hetfield downstroke, you could easily adapt it into a Paul Gilbert alternate picking machine. This exercise uses a combo of downstroke 8's and alternate 16's. It's gonna make your alternate picking way smoother and more powerful, and help you make that transition from rhythm god to lead shredder in no time!!
