oh oh oh look guys, look who made a video over three minutes? i'm on a roll, haven't made a full video since what, bamboo bones? okay, i cut out like 20 seconds of repetitive lyrics, but i still consider this a full video. i've always had it planned too, this song has always been on my list of songs to edit to. and i worked like a bitch on this, rendered it twice hduijkg. i'm still not completely happy with it, but i might never be, so this is probably as good as its gonna get.
my intention was to make a video that looked like it was from 2012, something raw color wise but also fun and full of life. i know the meaning of the song is quite sad, but i decided to match the clips to the individual lyrics instead to create a more upbeat video. i also wanted to focus on films that i grew up with. i edit with tlk and lady and the tramp a lot, but i wanted to give some love to 101 dalmatians, spirit, and alpha and omega. all these movies were a big part of my childhood and i'd like to start editing with them more.
the pan crop in this video was inspired partly by owlcoholik. the general flow and old timey style of the video (at least i hope it came off that way) was inspired by itstechniyo and transformingwave, two of my favorite editors.

hope you guys enjoy. i tried to put a lot of heart and nostalgia in this. also i worked on it until i felt dizzy and had to stop. i don't remember working that hard in a long time
