If your dog suddenly starts sprinting around the house like they’ve completely lost their mind, don’t panic.

Those are called the zoomies.

And they’re completely normal.

Zoomies are usually a dog’s way of releasing built-up energy, excitement, or even stress.

Puppies do it.
Adult dogs do it.
Stressed dogs can do it.
Even highly trained dogs can do it.

It might look crazy in the moment, and you might wonder what is going on with your dog, but in most cases, it’s just a happy, healthy dog blowing off some steam.
