I enjoy reading the classics, and historical fiction, and watching period dramas or other things which aim to recapture different eras of the past. I particularly love stories based on true events, especially when they explore the real lives of real people.
Reverse 1999 embraces inaccuracy instead, which can trigger hunt for historical easter eggs and lead you towards endless Wikipedia rabbit-holes. This time, I ended up poking through obscure but fascinating corners of Parisian history.
