Ryoma is giving insight into why he personally went into vtubing as a career after being in the streaming/content creation space for quite a bit of time already. The main takeaway? Having a virtual avatar is very helpful for introverts, neurodivergent individuals, or basically for everyone that doesn't want their in real life face to be perceived. The ability to not have to put on make-up, look your best, or have the space behind you look incredible is a massive advantage in an entertainment niche where your personality is the main draw. But also, having a virtual avatar solves the dilemma that non-face camera streamers would have: it allows them to express themselves facially and in body movement which in streaming and content creation is integral since the social interaction is so key. In essence, having an avatar helps level the playing field for those that have a personality but don't have the aesthetic.
