One question that i’ve mentioned before in hazbin hotel is the characters eyes, and how they have significance in the lore. So what do they mean?
In the show some characters have unique eyes, especially their left eye.
Alastor, angel dust, vox, vaggie and travis all have unique left eyes.
So the simple explanation is that your eyes are the windows to your soul. The left eye in particular is linked with evil.
In the image I showed the other day of vox’s old design, we can see an eye chart that vivzie made that explains their meanings in zoophobia. Although this was made 10 years ago, it confirms that the characters eyes are linked to their personalities.
Vox’s eye is linked to his hypnosis abilities and his anger. As his mood worsens, the soundwaves in his eye get more erratic. Alastor’s eyes become inverted whenever he uses his demonic powers.
Vaggie lost her eye to lute, so it’s just an x. Travis is obsessed with lust and romance, so his is a love heart. And lastly angel’s is perhaps linked to valentino, since val technically owns half his soul.
