Rupert Sheldrake challenges the circular logic often used to explain away rising melting points in new crystals.

A study of 149 chemicals showed a massive trend upward. This isn’t supposed to happen. Standard science says we just got better at purifying them. Sheldrake suggests it might be Morphic Resonance.

It raises a bigger question: Did all the laws of nature, along with all matter and energy, appear out of nowhere all at once in the Big Bang? Or are the laws more like habits that “crystallized” over time?
