Father of two, Jonathan Oakeley, was just over a mile from the finish line of the half marathon he was running when he collapsed in cardiac arrest.
"I started to feel dizzy and the last thing I remember was holding on to the railings. And everything then just went black.”
Thankfully, St John volunteers were on hand to deliver lifesaving CPR.
“We owe St John volunteers a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid.
Thank you doesn't seem anywhere near enough.”
