Sheikh Emad al-Mobayed said he had left Saudi Arabia for a safe location after concerns were raised regarding his safety after he publicly criticised recent unIslamic reforms in Saudi Arabia and advised those in power to "Fear Allah".
In his recent video, he expressed the reasons behind leaving the country and encouraged other scholars and preachers who want to speak out against the Saudi government to do the same.
Many Islamic scholars are against the changes that have been happening in the kingdom in recent years but the Saudi government have been detaining scholars to silence critics of MBS’s 2030 vision of liberalising the country.

شیخ عماد المبید نے کہا کہ وہ سعودی عرب میں حالیہ غیر اسلامی اصلاحات پر عوامی سطح پر تنقید کرنے اور اقتدار میں رہنے والوں کو "اللہ سے ڈرنے" کا مشورہ دینے کے بعد اپنی حفاظت کے حوالے سے خدشات پیدا ہونے کے بعد سعودی عرب کو ایک محفوظ مقام کے لیے چھوڑ کر چلے گئے تھے۔
اپنی حالیہ ویڈیو میں، انہوں نے ملک چھوڑنے کے پیچھے وجوہات کا اظہار کیا اور دوسرے علماء اور مبلغین کی حوصلہ افزائی کی جو سعودی حکومت کے خلاف بات کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔
