Sierra co-founder Clay Bavor says AI agents could change how software companies get paid.
Instead of charging by seat or usage, Bavor says Sierra uses outcomes-based pricing — where customers pay only when an AI agent completes a task successfully, such as resolving a customer issue, making a sale or retaining a customer.
“We only win when our customers win,” Bavor told CNBC’s Arjun Kharpal.
