There are some hymns and gospel songs, that make the error of saying that there won't be any tears in heaven. While this sounds good, it is simply NOT true. John said that he "wept much" right after he was caught up to heaven in Revelation 5:4. Christians will "suffer loss" at the judgment seat of Christ, in the form of fleshly "wood, hay, and stubble" being burned up. I also believe that tears will be shed while God's wrath is poured out on the world during the time of Jacob's trouble. And finally, there will be a lot of sorrow when we see lost friends and family members condemned to an eternity in the lake of fire, at the Great White Throne judgment in Revelation chapter 20. The "tears" are only wiped away from our eyes AFTER all of that has taken place. The point of this sermon is to encourage Christians to stand with the scriptures, and not the "popular" marketing of Jesus which is done by modern professing Christians.
