Hey guys, here's a list of brands owned by women, with annotations to show brands that are owned by women of color. I'm not putting affiliate links because that seems weird and gross in the context. Not trying to profit off talking about this, just needs to be talked about. Also, I am definitely not the only person talking about this, credit goes to the many people that have spoken up first and taken a lot of the backlash so that now it's a relatively cushy and socially acceptable thing to have a stance on. Anyway, there are for sure more brands so keep the list going in the comments! I've omitted female owned brands that have a history of poor shade ranges for obvious reasons (there are plenty of them though.) I've also omitted a few brands that make products for black consumers but are not actually black or female owned (Black Radiance, Black Opal, BlackUp.) They still make some great products but aren't relevant to this list.
